Whereas it should be destroyed in 1983, the castel of Droupt-Saint-Basle was taken over by Jean-Pierre and Claire Paupe. Today the result is impressive, from the garden to the salon and the drawbridge we see architectural traces of XVIth, XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries. Meet the soul of this historical monument and at your turn fall under its charm. You can freely enjoy the numerous surprises of the gardens like formal garden or the small ornamental vegetable garden. In the castle, six rooms completely restored will lead you to the past thanks to authentic decors and commentaries of Claire Paupe about their history and the modes that inspired them.There are many events every year in the castle between 1st August and 30th September but you can visit the castle of Droupt-Saint-Basle all the year by appointment. In addition, there is a museum of popular objects nestle in the attic of the castle, which visits are by appointment.
