At 30km at the north of Troyes, the castle of Droupt-Saint-Basle, from XVIth century, shelters in its attic a collection of unusual and common popular objects from different periods and regions. There are more than 3000 objects from XVIth to XXth century that you can discover, find again and manipulate while listening the anecdotes of the collector Claire Paupe, this helps to replace these former treasures in their context. The Musée d’art populaire expands year after year thanks to donations of artisans and farmers retirees which want perpetuate the memory of theirs jobs. The visits are by appointment in groups of maximum 18 persons; you can also visit the castle with a guide and make a walk freely in the park.
