Pleasant wooded park surrounded by water, the Ile Olive is ideal for a walk or to relax, very close to the city centre. Access is possible through a narrow footbridge on one side and through a lock on the other side. .It is the green Heaven of the Nogentais people. Former island on the river Seine, it holds its current shape since the construction of the lock in 1841. In 1917 the widow of a former Major of the city (Doctor Olive) gave it to the community to remain a peaceful and quiet place for strolling. There is a natural park, a botanical route to discover about 20 different tree species, a play ground for children, a large meadow.
